On Friday October 4, 2024 members of the Binghamton Professional Fire Fighters I.A.F.F. Local 729 held their 4th annual "GIVE CANCER THE BOOT" fund raiser. Off duty members repurposed their boots to collect donations from generous passing motorists with 100% of all donations going directly to established, promising, world class CANCER RESEARCH! No occupation is more adversely affected by CANCER than that of being a FIRE FIGHTER - so who better to support CANCER RESEARCH than FIRE FIGHTERS! "THANK YOU" to all of the generous donors and to the Brother & Sister Fire Fighter who participated! Pictured Binghamton Fire Fighter, Board Member & Event Organizer Chris Mallery (L) presents this years check to President Bill Newland. This years event raised a total of $8,147.02 bringing the four year total to $36,466.90.
