MOMS HELPING OUR TROOPS

We recently befriended a group known as "ZIGGY'S QUICK QUILTERS", a small group of Moms, who would like to help our military men & women who have been wounded while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. As a quilting group of five, they are making cot size quilts as requested by OFR (info@operationfirstreseponse.org). They need your help by way of donations in reaching their goal  of 500 quilts plus 500 1 - gallon Zip Lock bags filled with personal care items listed below which are on the OFR request sheet. These items will be sent to military hospitals in Iraq and Germany for distribution. The following are items which you maybe able to contribute as a means of saying THANK YOU to our troops for thier service and sacrifice for our country.

T - Shirts - White / Gray / Navy / Black. Sweatpants / Shorts & Sweatshirts - Gray / Navy / Black . Snap side athletic pants. Knit boxer shorts. White crew socks. Nail file & clippers. Cotton balls and swabs. Hotel or trial size - deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss(single use), disposable razors, shaving cream packets, 5 inch hair combs, lip balm, hard candies, chewing gum and prepaid international phone cards.

Red, white, blue and patriotic fabric & batting for making of the quilts.

Monetary donations for clothing and shipping.
