GIVE CANCER THE BOOT
Updated On: Mar 11, 2010 (02:08:00)

"GIVE CANCER THE BOOT"

On Saturday March 6, 2010 during the Binghamton, N.Y. annual St. Patrick's Day Parade active & retired memebers of I.A.F.F. Local 729 Binghamton, N.Y. and I.A.F.F. Local 280 Syracuse, N.Y. assisted our efforts to raise money for cancer research. Members passed their boots along the parade route giving parade goers the opportunity to donate. More than $2,200. was raised during the parade an additional $700. was raised at weekend parties hosted by the Binghamton Fire Fighters and Endicott, N.Y. Fire Fighters I.A.F.F. Local 1280. A sincere "THANK YOU" to all who donated, helped or assisted in making our "GIVE CANCER THE BOOT" a huge success. 100% of all donations go directly to cancer research programs.

A very special thank you to Richard Allen Sr. and his sons Binghamton, N.Y. Assistant Chief Rick Allen and Binghamton, N.Y. Fire Fighter Jeff Allen for the use of their 1942 Ford Sanford fire truck in the parade.

Got an idea for a "GIVE CANCER THE BOOT" fund raiser to help us - we'd love to hear from you. Email us at letsfirecancer@aol.com
